This collection includes postcards and photo postcards that were produced on board one of the ships, possibly Ohio. They are part of a collection brought back by Yeoman Foutch, possibly the photographer. As a Yeoman, Orvil would have had the use of the "ship's office" as a dark room in the evening and might have taken the opportunity to create postcards for the crew to send home. The handwriting on these cards is quite distinctive, printed in all capital letter" and the back of the cards printed with the AZO label. Many of the cards are unique photographs taken by the photographers and some are photographs of other cards that were available on the cruise during port visit. It appears that they were all completed during the cruise to be available to send home.
