Manila 551-600

There was not a celebration in Manila.  After the Spanish-American War the city regularly had the American fleet in town and did not feel any need to show them a warm greeting.  For the most part it was business as usual for the city.  Many of the sailors on ships that were forward deployed to the South Pacific used this as an opportunity to "cross-deck" between ships and join the fleet for the rest of the cruise.
