The port of Salonia was visited by two ships of Third Division, the USS Missouri and the Ohio. They arrived on January 19th and departed on the 21st. They then went on to Smyrna and jointed the Louisiana and Virginia.
Through the Canal and into the Mediterranean
souvenir de salonique
A nice card of the costumes of the villages from the City of Salonica. This card was mailed to Bessie Econtrack of Santa Barbara, California. This is the closest I have found to a card from this port visit. I was mailed from "Ed" on January 24, 1909, most likely mailed from Smyrna during the next port visit.
