William G. Burgess, BM2, USS Kearsarge – South American

The group of cards sent from William during his transit around South America we of the sites and people.  He was thoughtful to keep is nephew in mind and send one card from each port.  His cards do not say a lot and are what might be expected from "your uncle in the navy."  The last card saying, "Callao, Peru, February 25, 1908.  Dear Nephew, Howard what do you think of these people.  Pretty badly sunburned don't you think?  W.G. B."  The card showing a group of Peruvians all wearing hats.
